"BLACK DOLL"
Carbon Peel Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Black Doll is the popular name for the laser carbon peel, which is a deep cleansing treatment. It is an extremely effective, non-invasive, safe and completely painless refreshing treatment. The laser peel is performed using a high-energy Nd:Yag Q-Switched laser. This treatment is one of the latest discoveries in cosmetology and is very popular with patients.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Black Doll treatment, or laser carbon peel, involves irradiating the skin of the face or décolleté previously covered with a special carbon paste with a laser beam. The laser energy causes the carbon particles to penetrate the tiniest bumps, hollows and pores. This immediately vaporises the preparation along with the impurities on the skin.
In short, the use of a laser during peeling enhances the purifying properties of carbon. The treatment is not painful and does not require anaesthesia. The sensation during the treatment can be described as a slight pinching. After the treatment, the skin is not damaged. There is usually only a slight redness, which disappears spontaneously.

BEFORE TREATMENT

  • intensive sunbathing 2 weeks before the treatment is forbidden

  • it is recommended to use SPF cream

  • do not use any exfoliating treatments (chemical or mechanical peelings) 2 weeks before the treatment

  • it is recommended to hydrate the skin before and after the treatment - a week before the planned treatment it is recommended to consume 1.5-2l of water a day, in order to hydrate the body, which promotes better skin regeneration after the treatment

THE COURSE OF TREATMENT

  • The first phase of the treatment consists of a thorough cleansing and make-up removal of the skin.

  • A carbon emulsion is then applied to the treatment area, which is rubbed thoroughly into all bumps and pores.

  • The applied mask should be left on for 7-10 minutes (carbon penetration process into the skin).

  • In the next phase, the laser procedure is performed, i.e. the action of laser light on the entire surface of the treatment area.

  • The carbon particles are the absorbing material for the laser light.

  • In order to achieve an optimal effect, it is recommended to carry out 3-5 treatments at intervals of 2-3 weeks.

RECOMMENDATIONS AFTER THE TREATMENT

In order for the skin to recover and heal quickly, it is worth following the recommendations. These include:

  • Avoiding exposure to the sun (for a minimum of 4 weeks),

  • For 2-3 weeks after the charcoal peel, it is most important to regularly use creams with a high SPF filter - 30 or 50. Photoprotection is aimed at protecting the skin against the formation of discolouration.

  • On the day of the treatment, you should also refrain from wearing make-up (so as not to cause additional irritation). Furthermore, if the skin is reddened, a panthenol-based preparation will work well.

  • No exfoliating treatments for 2 weeks

  • Hot baths, swimming pools and saunas are not recommended for a few days after each peel

  • Giving up strong irritating alcohol-based cosmetics (for 3 days) in favour of mild moisturising and soothing preparations recommended by the dermatologist;

  • Refraining from physical activity for a few days after the treatment.

  • Other recommendations are also worth bearing in mind after having a charcoal peel. The following are not recommended for this treatment: sunbathing, other types of exfoliating treatments (for 2 weeks) and the use of alcohol-based cosmetics. In addition, hot baths, swimming pools and saunas are not recommended for several days after each peel.
